ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Rivki and I’m a grafic and an industrial designer. I studied design in Shankar college of engineering, design and art, in Ramat Gan, Israel.

Where I grew up there was not plenty of room for design, I was not familiar with the wide range that design has to offer. My mother was a very talented woman, an artist; A painter and a sewer with very good hands and that made me realize that creation was always a part of me. I like to look at things and think of ways to renew them, refresh, organize and embellish them.

Design in my eyes is aesthetics, an understanding, being able to look around us, detect a need, a phenomenon, a culture, principles and values, all of which are raw material for new creations. A good design to me is not only changing the way things look but also changing the way we experience those things.

Simple things are my inspiration, I use geometric lines that make a minimalist and functional design. In my creative process I like to revisit actions and experiences that are familiar and try and achieve those same experiences but by different means. In this process I find an abundance of design opportunities.
